Bengaluru, April 15, 2025 – India’s electric two-wheeler scene is buzzing with fresh launches as Ola Electric, BattRE, and Ather roll out innovative scooters and motorcycles to capture the growing demand for eco-friendly rides. These new models, packed with smart features and affordable prices, are setting the stage for a greener future on Indian roads.
Ola Electric’s Roadster X Hits the Streets
Ola Electric has made a bold entry into the electric motorcycle segment with its Roadster X series, priced from just Rs 74,999. Deliveries have already begun, marking a milestone for the company. The Roadster X, built at Ola’s FutureFactory, offers a sleek design and zippy performance, with options for 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh batteries.
Ola reported 1,395 confirmed orders for the motorcycle in February, even before its official launch, showing strong buyer interest. “This is a new era for India’s EV revolution,” Ola Electric shared on social media, calling the Roadster X a game-changer for two-wheeler fans.
BattRE’s LOEV+ Scooter Brings Smart and Affordable Mobility
BattRE Electric Mobility launched the LOEV+ scooter at Rs 69,999, aiming to make electric scooters accessible to more riders. This budget-friendly model comes with three riding modes—Eco, City, and Sport—for a smooth and versatile ride.
The LOEV+ also boasts smart features like a digital dashboard and remote locking, appealing to tech-savvy users. With a focus on affordability and style, BattRE is targeting young commuters in cities and smaller towns alike, adding to the growing popularity of electric scooters.
Ather’s Rizta Scooter Wins Hearts and Awards
Ather Energy’s Rizta scooter, known for its spacious seat and family-friendly design, has been grabbing attention with a 160 km range per charge. Priced competitively, it recently won awards for its comfort and practicality, making it a top pick for urban riders.
The Rizta’s large storage, smooth ride, and modern tech, like a touchscreen display, have earned praise from users and critics. Ather’s focus on quality has helped it stand out, even as it faces tough competition in the electric two-wheeler market.
A Growing Market with Big Dreams
These launches come at a time when electric two-wheeler sales are soaring, with over 1.15 million units sold in FY2025, up 21% from last year. Government subsidies, like Gujarat’s Rs 20,000 offer and Delhi’s push for 95% EV adoption by 2027, are fueling this growth.
However, buyers are also demanding better quality, as some scooters face issues like battery glitches. Despite these challenges, Ola, BattRE, and Ather are betting big on innovation to win over India’s riders.
With the Roadster X, LOEV+, and Rizta leading the charge, India’s roads are getting greener and smarter. As more people switch to electric, these new launches are proof that the future of two-wheelers is electric—and it’s here to stay.
