Bengaluru, April 8, 2025 – Ola Electric, a leading name in India’s electric vehicle revolution, has solidified its dominance in the electric scooter market, closing the fiscal year 2025 (April 2024–March 2025) with an impressive 344,005 units sold. The company registered 22,685 units in March alone, contributing to its commanding 30% market share in the rapidly growing electric two-wheeler segment.
The standout performer in Ola’s lineup has been the S1 range, with the recently launched Gen 3 models earning widespread acclaim. Offering an industry-leading range of up to 242 kilometers on a single charge, the S1 Gen 3 series is redefining electric mobility for Indian consumers. Packed with cutting-edge features such as dual ABS for enhanced safety and brake-by-wire technology for precise control, these scooters have positioned Ola as a game-changer in the market.
“Ola Electric’s success in FY25 reflects our commitment to delivering innovative, high-performance electric vehicles that resonate with Indian riders,” said an Ola Electric spokesperson. “The S1 Gen 3 models have set a new benchmark, combining long-range capabilities with advanced technology to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
The company’s strong sales figures come amidst fierce competition from rivals like Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor, and Ather Energy, all vying for a slice of India’s booming electric scooter market. In March, Bajaj led with 30,133 units, followed by TVS iQube at 26,481, while Ola’s 22,685 units secured it a solid third place for the month. However, Ola’s cumulative performance over FY25 underscores its consistent appeal and market leadership.
Industry analysts attribute Ola’s success to its focus on premium features, competitive pricing (starting at ₹1.15 lakh for the S1 Gen 3), and an expanding charging network. With a top speed of 125 kmph and a sleek 7-inch TFT display, the S1 Gen 3 caters to both urban commuters and performance enthusiasts, further broadening its customer base.
As India accelerates toward greener transportation, Ola Electric’s FY25 milestone highlights the growing acceptance of electric scooters, fueled by rising fuel costs, government incentives, and heightened environmental awareness. With plans to expand its product lineup and infrastructure, Ola is poised to maintain its pole position in the electric mobility race.
For now, the streets of India are buzzing with the hum of Ola’s S1 scooters, a testament to the company’s vision of a sustainable, tech-driven future.
